Annotateshot Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
This policy applies to the Annotateshot apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac distributed by TIGER LABS through the Apple App Store.
Local-First Processing
Annotateshot does not require an account. Screenshots, photos, scanned documents, annotations, and exported files are processed locally on your device. Annotateshot does not upload this content to TIGER LABS or Sentry.
The apps do not include advertising, behavioral analytics, cross-app tracking, or profiling, and TIGER LABS does not sell personal data.
Photos, Camera, and Screen Recording
- iPhone and iPad: Annotateshot accesses only the photos you select, or recent screenshots when you grant Photos access for automatic stitch suggestions. The document scanner uses the camera only when you open that feature. Photos and camera output stay on your device unless you explicitly export or share them.
- Mac: Annotateshot uses macOS Screen Recording permission only when you ask it to capture a screen, selected area, or window. Captured pixels are processed locally.
You can change Photos, Camera, or Screen Recording access at any time in your device's system settings. Disabling a permission prevents the related feature from accessing new content.
Local Storage, Clipboard, and Files
- Projects, preferences, recent work, and other app state are stored locally in the app's container on your device.
- Annotateshot reads from or writes to the clipboard only when you choose an import or copy action.
- Exports are saved to Photos or Files locations you choose. On Mac, Annotateshot may remember access to a chosen save folder using a macOS security-scoped bookmark.
- Temporary export files are removed after the export or share operation completes.
Diagnostics
The iPhone and iPad apps use Sentry to receive crash, error, and app-hang diagnostics so TIGER LABS can identify reliability and performance problems. Diagnostic events may include the app version, operating-system version, device model, timestamps, stack traces, technical performance data, and identifiers generated for the app installation or device.
Annotateshot configures Sentry not to send default personally identifiable information, screenshots, view hierarchies, photos, documents, or annotation content. Network providers and Sentry may necessarily process an IP address when a diagnostic event is transmitted. Diagnostics are used only to operate, secure, debug, and improve Annotateshot—not for advertising or tracking.
The Mac app does not currently send diagnostics to Sentry. If this practice changes, this policy and the applicable App Store privacy details will be updated before collection begins.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Annotateshot receives product and entitlement information needed to unlock or restore purchased features, but TIGER LABS does not receive your payment-card details. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Service Providers and International Processing
Sentry acts as a service provider for iPhone and iPad diagnostics and processes that data under its contractual privacy and security commitments. You can review Sentry's Privacy Policy. Apple provides App Store distribution, system permissions, and purchase processing under its own terms and privacy policy.
Diagnostic and support data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, subject to the service provider's legal safeguards. TIGER LABS does not share app data with advertising networks or data brokers.
Retention, Deletion, and Your Choices
- Local projects, preferences, and exports remain until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Files saved outside the app remain in the location you selected until you delete them.
- Sentry diagnostic events are retained according to the configured service retention period, for no longer than 90 days, and may be deleted sooner.
- Messages submitted through the contact form below are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
You can revoke device permissions in system settings and delete local data through the app, the Files or Photos app, or by uninstalling Annotateshot. To request access to or deletion of diagnostic or support data that TIGER LABS can reasonably identify, use the contact form below. We may ask for limited details needed to locate the relevant records.
